I’m a pretty simple guy (named Guy).
I am a pilgrim in life seeking meaning and love where ever I can. I enjoy hikes, I enjoy running, I enjoy swimming, I enjoy surfing, and many other things. I love poetry, I love good conversation. I like learning new things and questions (and the searching for answers). I am a bibliophile (280 books and counting), I read copious amounts of books mostly philosophy and theology (although a lot of fiction and poetry as well). I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a film fanatic, there is nothing better than a good movie. I love the wind, I love trees, I love animals (my brothers and sisters on this earth), I love the stars at night and how humble they make me feel. I draw a lot from the mystical Eastern Orthodox Tradition, although I tend to be open to all insights into the nature of the Sacred.
I hope to pursue a Phd in Theology at Yale or Princeton in the long run; and serve people in whatever context God’s deems fit. Hope you enjoy the blog. Random thoughts on life and the mystery of being.

Guy- I wanted to thank you for your thoughtful comments on my piece, Would The Real Pontius Pilate Please Stand Up?, recently featured on the Burnside Writers Collective. I wanted to assure you that I, personally, do not subscribe to the notion that the “Jews” are responsible for the death of Christ. On the contrary, it absolutely was the temple hot-shots who were infuriated by His rather blunt condemnation of their arrogance and power-hungry twisting of the Holy Scriptures to their own advantage. Actually, the “Jews” gave Jesus a rousing welcome into Jerusalem, crying, “hosanna” and laying their garments on the road for Him to ride upon. Unfortunately, they misunderstood that it was not time for His kingdom to be established. He had to be the suffering savior before He could reign as King of Kings, as He most certainly will one wonderful day. No, Paul makes it clear in the New Testament that we Christians are “grafted onto the Jewish vine” so to speak. As a result, I proudly consider myself to be an honorary Jew, one of God’s chosen people and actually wear a necklace with a gold cross AND a Star of David.
